Our Doctors

Dr. Urrutia

DVM

Dr. Urrutia is originally from El Salvador and came to the US at an early age. His undergraduate degree is in Animal Science through Mt. San Antonio College in Southern California. He moved back to El Salvador to finalize his professional studies and was admitted to veterinary school where he graduated from Universidad Salvadoreña Alberto Masferrer (USAM) with a veterinary and animal husbandry degree. He later pursued additional training, which consisted of a diploma in small animal medicine and surgery for canines and felines through the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). After graduation Dr. Urrutia became involved in Real Estate sales (co-founded Americasa, LLC, a real estate brokerage firm) and mortgage banking (operated a Pinnacle Financial branch) for 10 years as well as obtaining a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) through the University of Phoenix. Dr. Urrutia returned to the veterinary profession and successfully completed the ECFVG certification program for foreign veterinary graduates and became licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Florida. Dr. Urrutia went on to receive training as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) through the University of Tennessee. Dr. Urrutia also went on to receive training in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) in acupuncture and Chinese herbs and will pursue additional training in Tui-Na in the near future through Chi University. Dr. Urrutia has been married for over 25 years and enjoys his 3 pets (Paquito, Margarita and Nadia). Dr. Urrutia is passionate about bodybuilding, fitness and is also a level-2 Krav Maga practitioner. He is also a sports cars enthusiast and enjoys riding motorcycles as well.
